The new financial center of the construction giant Bilfinger was designed and implemented in accordance with the latest sustainability standards. The H-shaped building pursues an efficient space concept on 10,000 square meters of floor space with workplaces for 500 employees.
Installer Klaus Dieckerhoff took on this project and laid over 5,000 m² of natural and porcelain stoneware. On half of the area, high-quality, large-format coverings were laid in order to remain loyal to the simultaneously sustainable and modern concept. Besides the demanding large format installation, the challenge lay above all in the optimal sealing and grouting of the canteen kitchen floor surfaces. Due to the extreme conditions, it was important to use building materials that are particularly resistant to chemicals and other aggressive substances in order to ensure long-term use. The solution were products based on epoxy resins. Thus, the reactive resin grout Epo-Tix was used together with the reactive waterproofing Epo 2000 and the safety waterproofing from codex.
