This results in high quality standards, which are reflected in our innovative complete systems, ranging from tile and grout mortars to special products for subfloor preparation. ## This is codex! The company codex emerged from the tiles and natural stone division of the traditional brand UZIN. This is one of the many reasons why codex can build on unbeatable know-how, especially in the area of substrate preparation. As a result, we have a number of excellent primers and levelling compounds. codex is also equipped with a comprehensive range of products for laying tiles and natural stone, the quality of which is underlined by multiple awards from the tile industry. **Only the joint gives the final touch...** … and produces the perfect result in connection with tile and natural stone coverings. codex research focuses specifically on further development of the joint range. Thus, based on the latest technical standards and findings, a comprehensive range with unique innovations has been developed. After numerous market innovations that have already been introduced, codex last introduced five new joint colours in July 2019, resulting in a total of 34 brand new grout mortars. ## New location - Own plant The codex GmbH & Co. KG has existed as an independent brand since 2007. Through years of further development and growth, codex was able to put the newly built site into operation in October 2018. After only 1 ½ years of construction, the UZIN UTZ subsidiary opened its new factory in the Ulm Danube Valley. In addition to the new high-end production facility, the site, which covers around 10,000 m², also has an adjacent 3-storey administration building. The company's own research and development centre and training rooms are located here, which guarantees the continuous further development of our products and further training of employees and customers. At the heart of the facility lies production, which is housed in a 34 m high tower and marks the codex site from afar. The new codex plant meets the latest technical requirements and enables the production of up to 60,000 tons of powder products per year. This results not only in an increase in capacity but also in absolute flexibility in reacting to customer requirements. codex exports all over the world, however is best known, above all, among professionals - and for good reason. ## HIGHEST QUALITY The absolute focal point of the new codex site is the new production tower. With the most modern production plant in Europe we manufacture over 50 different products. Quality control is integrated in every single production step, which guarantees the unbeatable codex quality. Thanks to its high quality, codex has already won numerous awards. The latest award-winning products are the multi-purpose adhesive codex Power CX 7 (1st place) and the flex sealing compound codex AX 230 (2nd place).
